What a web app can do for your business
A web app is software that runs in the browser – from a customer portal or booking system to an internal tool for your team. Unlike a website, it doesn’t just inform; it gets work done: capturing data, steering workflows, generating documents and notifying customers. And because it runs in the browser, it’s available on every device without installing anything.
Many businesses run on a mix of spreadsheets, email and off-the-shelf software that only half fits. That works for a while – until errors creep in, knowledge lives in a few people’s heads and new staff take ages to find their way around. A custom web app maps your processes cleanly and makes them transparent.
Typical examples include customer portals with documents and status updates, booking and scheduling systems, order and project management tools, partner and reseller areas, and dashboards that bring data from several sources together.
How we build it
Before writing code, we look closely at how things work today: who does what, where delays and errors occur, and what could be automated. That leads to a concept with user flows and a clickable prototype you can test with your team, so it’s clear early on whether the solution works in practice.
We build with Next.js, React and TypeScript on the front end, and Node.js and PostgreSQL on the back end. Prisma provides a clean, type-safe data model, Resend handles reliable email notifications, and where payments are involved we integrate Stripe. Roles, permissions and data protection are part of the architecture from the outset.
Development happens in short stages. You get a first usable version early, try it in real conditions and give feedback that flows straight into the next iteration. After launch we can continue to look after the application with hosting, monitoring and new features.
Working directly, in English or German
You have one point of contact: the developer building your application. Domain questions are clarified directly, without requirements being passed along a chain of people. That saves time and prevents misunderstandings – especially for software that has to reflect how your business really operates.
We work remotely with companies in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the UK and across Europe. Workshops, check-ins and demos happen over video, in English or German. Swiss quality, for us, means carefully documented code, clear agreements and no nasty surprises.
Since every application has its own requirements, you receive a tailored quote after a free initial call.
